I really enjoy the seriousness and silliness of the cartoon. Im sure the movie with have elements of both.
I totally want this to me more serious, by the trailer. I think it looks a bit too cliche.
It's one of my favorite animated series ever, and one of my favorite universes ever. I'm afraid of the movie not being serious enough. I don't want them to water it down for only 10 year olds, because even in the cartoon it deals with very huge themes about death, betrayal, war etc.
I think it looks interesting, I will see it. That said, I never saw the cartoon and therefor know nothing about how these characters really are...

the visuals are looking great. but one beef i am having, and i know this is just a trailer. but i have not seen aang, being aang. you know the little immature kid that likes to have fun. i havent seen the whole animated series, so i dont know if he changes but the early seasons he is a kid.

no...it's just you!I agree though. However, I have seen an image of Aang with a big smile on his face. I think they just geared the trailer to the audience of the superbowl... action action action.
