For the Geek in all of us

If anyone watches the Superbowl, you may have seen yet another brilliant Coke commercail by Weiden+Kennedy Portlan, Directed by Smith & Foulkes (Nexus Productions).

I find the images really beautiful and true to the digital life most of us seem to be leading these days.  Almost everyone having an alternate digital identity.

Coke ad - Digital animation transformation

I was impressed by the initial trasition animations from real life into the digital.  And all the characters throughout are unique in their own way.  I love the little guy bumping into the door of the cafe.  Great stuff.

 Coke ad - Characters

The sound track is “Stranger in the Crowd” performed by Cee-Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley (and originally made famous by Elvis Presley).

I did some work on this :)
I made 5 characters for it, but there are so many different ones in it, theyre 'blink and you'll miss it' moments!

Great ad anyway - the folks at Nexus really polished it up nice

Erm, the knight in the staricase scene, a blue skinned WoW type girl you briefly see sitting in the cafe, a blonde haired manga girl (on the bus you barely see), the girl in the shades / black catsuit, and the zombie.

As i said - you dont see them that much! The one you see the clearest is the girl that turns into the brown haired 'spy' character in the catsuit.

This was such a cute commercial, I thought it was really well done and there were some great characters in there as well!
