Panic Attack! Shorts

Panic Attack!

Now, this short film by Director Federico Alvarez from Uruguay in my opinion isn't the greatest piece of CG work I've seen, but the footage and compositing is pretty good.  His film, 'Panic Attack' was created with a budget of just $500 in his free time.

The five minute clip - which he then uploaded to YouTube - shows an invasion of Montevideo by giant robots.  Once online it got the attention of thousands of movie fans and studio bosses who wanted to meet with Alvarez to talk about his movie.

Frederico was quickly offered a $1 million directors fee and up to £30 million to make the film, by Mandate Pictures. The plans for the movie are said to have a "compelling original story" beyond big robots blowing stuff up.

Alvarez will work with "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi on developing the film along with Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures.

You can also check out his WEBSITE.  One of my favourite spots is in vfx where he removes the ball from a bunch of football clips!  Hilarious!

      no doubt.

i think its a bit ridiculous, its like the waterboy, where the other teams try to find their waterboy, by using the towel boy and ballboy and other ridiculous assistants within the ball club.

lets see if it pays off.
