How do I sign up? Signing up is simple. Just click on the “Sign up” link on the top right hand side of the top navigation bar.
Is this site free? Yes, user accounts at CGHub are completely free! For employers, posting featured jobs requires credits, which can be purchased on the jobs page.

topEditing your profile and account details

How do I change my password? After logging in, click on “Edit profile” on the top navigation bar. This will take you to your profile page. Scroll down to the “Change password” section. Don´t forget to make note of your new password!
I lost my password, how do I retrieve it? You can have your password re-sent to you by going to the lost password page: http://cghub.com/users/remindPassword
I don´t want users to comment on my profile, how can I turn them off? After logging in, click on “Edit profile” on the top navigation bar. This will take you to your profile page. Scroll down to the “Site preference” section, and change the “Comments on profile page” to “hide.” How do I change my username? After logging in, click on “Edit profile” on the top navigation bar. This will take you to your profile page. Scroll down to the “Change password or username” section. Don´t forget to make note of your new username!

A user left a rude comment on my image or script comment page, how can I remove it? If you are logged in, you can delete any comment that you don´t want by clicking the green word balloon with the minus next to it. Additionally, you can report abuse by clicking on the gray word balloon, which will file a complaint against the user. Please use this only when absolutely necessary.
I don´t want users to leave comments for my image or script. Can I turn them off? Yes. If you go to edit your image or script, on the edit page you can turn comments off on an image by image basis.

How do I leave a comment on a blog entry? You must be registered and logged in to leave comments on blog entries.
How do I rate a blog entry? You must be registered and logged in rate blog entries. You are only allowed to rate once.

What is the news section and how does it work? The news section is an RSS news aggregator that pulls the latest RSS news headlines from the respective sites. The news section is designed to give you an overview of what is happening across the web at a glance, without having to visit each site individually.
My favorite site isn´t listed, can you add it? If you would like a site added, please use the suggestion box and submit your request. Please keep in mind we can´t add every site, but if something particularly useful has been left out we will do our best to include it.

topGallery and Scripts & Uploads

What are the gallery and scripts sections and how do they work? The gallery is a collection of user submitted images. The gallery search tools are powerful and will allow you to filter and view just the images you are interested in. You can add images to the gallery at any time by creating an account and uploading you artwork. The scripts & uploads section is a collection of user submitted scripts, plugins and tools. You can add your item to the scripts & uploads at any time by creating an account and uploading your work.
How do I upload an image or script? First, you must create an account. To upload images, log in, and click on the “Galleries” link on the site header navigation bar. From there you will see a “Add image” button. Click on this button, and you will be taken to a page where you can add your work. You must enter the required information (marked with an asterisk). The remaining information is optional, but will help other users find your images better. When you are done filling out the information, hit the submit button and you´re done! The image will appear in your user portfolio and be accessible throughout the site. You have up to 30 min to change or upload a new image before the image is locked and you can´t change it. From here, if you wish to change your image, you can delete it and upload a new one, or contact a site moderator or admin to fix it for you. Scripts work in the same way. Click on the “Scripts” section, and then the “Add script” button and fill out the details.
How do I edit an image or script? After logging in, click on the “My gallery” (or “My scripts) link in the “User links” panel on the left. From there, click on the image or script you wish to edit. Underneath the image or script you will see an edit button (a pencil and paper icon). Click this image to begin editing your item details. Please note that you will not be able to change the actual image, since user comments will not related to a new upload. Scripts work in the same way.
How do I delete an image or script? After logging in, click on the “My gallery” (or “My scripts”) link in the “User links” panel on the left. From there, click on the image or script you wish to delete. Underneath the image or script you will see a delete button (an x icon). Click this icon to remove your image. Please beware that this will permanently remove your image or script and any comments that may have been associated with it.
Can I be notified when someone comments on my gallery image or script? Yes! You can also be notified when someone comments on another users image or script as well, if you care to. Simply click the “Subscribe to comments” button on the main display page of the item you are interested in following. Scripts work in the same way.
How do I download the full resolution image or script file? Click on the “download icon” on the main page of the item you want to download. This will give you the original, uncompressed version of the image or file the user uploaded.
How do I add an image or script to my favorites? Click on the “Add to favorites” button on the main image display page of the image you want to favorite.
I want to rate an image or script, but I can´t. What am I doing wrong? You must be logged in to rate an image or script. You may rate an item one time only.
How do I get my image or script awarded? The “Cghub award is given out to artwork and tools that are deemed exceptional by our panel of judges. If you haven´t received it yet it may be because your image is new and we haven´t seen it yet.
I don´t want users to rate my image or script. Can I hide my image rating? Yes. If you go to edit your image or script, you can turn rating on and off for individually for each item.

How do I sign up for the forums? If you have registered for the site, you are already signed up for the forums. One account fits all!
How do I post a message? Simply go to the forum you wish to post in, and click the “New thread” icon

How can I find my friends? Finding friends is easy. Go to the “Users” page, and then use the directory or the advanced user finder. You can search by real name, e-mail address, username, age, sex, location, keywords, and artist rating.

Is posting jobs free? Yes. Regular job posts are free. Featured job posts require credits which can be purchased through the job page. Do I need a special account to post jobs? No. However, if you didn´t check “I want to post jobs” when you signed up, you must check “I want to post jobs” in your user profile before you can do so.

Inappropriate content Users must adhere to the site rules and regulations at all times. Inappropriate content will not be tolerated, and will be removed immediately. It may result in warning, suspension, or banning from the site. Inappropriate content includes: Hateful speech, abusive language or obscene sexual content. Nudity is acceptable in artistic forms but must be flagged as such. Please report all questionable conduct to the site moderators.
