Hi,
This work was planned for a local competition, the topic was Psychic. Last night, I noticed it was waiting among "unfinishes", and I thought to finish it off. I didn't attend the competition with this but anyway I'd like to show it with you. It
doesn't has any story; I was dreaming about keeping death away (her
special power was something like that). Some spirits which are ready to
take him away were planned at first; and she was forcing them to give
up. Then it headed to a different emotional direction. And
yes it is, the design of the rug is from Turkish carpets. I always am
very proud of using some strong affluence of my homeland- Anatolia, in
my works.
I also used references for the floor pattern, for cloth and for circular shape things.
Oh,and one more thing... The amblem which is on his knee is from our
carpets too. It represents eagle. And eagle represents power and
sovereignty of government from ancient times. And was used to point
totems.
