LOLL yeah and let's not forget that right after the war, The American Government brought Thousands of German Nazi Scientist to America (Operation Paperclip) and they have been put in high ranking positions in The NASA Program.

Still...I love the Irony of this illustration. ;)

when i clicked on this i was hoping it would be a part of some sort of alternate history story or something... which could have been fun.

but i gotta say as a simple political statement, it's pretty trite and self righteous.

not to mention insulting to what that statue actually stands for and the people who in fact, do believe in that.

but whatever, such is art. to each his own i suppose.
gotta love free speech. thanks, lady liberty. ;)

How did you come to the conclusion this wasn't a production piece for alternative history? There's no description. It's a little presumptuous to assume the artist is making an anti-American statement.

My immediate reaction was that the Germans had won WWII. I suppose it can be taken more abstractly that the artist is saying something about American fascism, but there's no way to tell without asking him/her.

Yikes. A little extreme I'd say... only because Lady Liberty is supposed to represent her people, not her government... so what is this saying about us as a people? Not very accurate, to be honest, but nicely painted.

GIRO3D: C'mon, we're not THAT lame. It was obvious what was going on just by looking at the thumbnail ;)
