Ok here is my take on the Demon Lord. His name is Phantom Nebula and he sports two huge black holes under his armpits. He has the ability to tear holes in the fabric of space and time and generate a dimensional rift in his massive belly. So the only way the Norms and Machines can close these rifts is to slay the demon lords. There are millions of them
