This is my submission for "Natives Of The Lifeless Forest"
I was inspired to make a tribute to hell in a way. Only instead of your soul being carried in an endless river. My idea is a forest where souls go for their final rest. Souls collect into bunches like trees and the small blue children take care of these soul trees.
The kids were inspired from the Hindu Religion. Some believe that the grim reaper disguises himself as a child, knocks on your door to play with you when it is time to die. It creeped me out reading about it, but also inspired me to make scary looking kids with limbs missing
