Artist's Comments

This image I did for my own short film project (the preliminary name " Awakening of memory "). Bartola it is an image of main character's love. In the beginning the main char nothing remembers. In some moment the veil of oblivion starts to fall as pieces of an old fabric and uncovering face of Bartola.

    This is a really wonderful painting, I totally love how the face is coming out of the darkness and how you got so much focus on that fair skin and the eyes. The subtle hair strands add to the gentle feel as well. If at all, I feel like the lips could be polished a tad more, to match the eyes a bit...but that aside, beautiful work. It leaves room for my imagination, too, which I like...
