This was done in Fall of 1985 - painted in oils. Yes, a personal piece.
Yes, I was inspired by Struzan - at the time I really admired his work.This was done in oils and I never like the way the cameras capture this painting. The colors always come out too flat and saturated. Corben?? Do you mean Rich Corben?...haha..haven't heard his name in ages.
Beautiful work. Reminds me of Struzan in composition and I see some Corben in shortround in the foreground there. Excellent execution.
