Mel Milton is an extremely skilled artist with a staggering amount of beautiful sketch work on his blog (http://melmade.blogspot.com/). I saw this guy as a sketch, and had been wanted to learn more about digital painting in Photoshop, so I tried. I see tons of the things I don't like about it any more, but I loved it at the time because I just dove in and tried, and it felt more successful than not.
