Artist's Comments

This is a cover I did for the book Lucifers Fængsel (Lucifer's Prison), published by Phabel, a Danish publishing company. I don't think a scene like this ever takes place in the book, but it was fun to paint and I'm glad that they liked the idea. It's really cool when publishers and authors just let you run with ideas :)

    OH! The red in the cheeks is such a beautiful touch to the coolness of the overall color scheme. It would've been cool (I think) to see that same color carried even more into the fingers. =)

    Neat stuff, this is really impressive. Love all those creatures, and how the girl does not seem impressed at all. Makes me wonder if she is evil herself and just sort of in disguise, or if perhaps the creatures cannot harm her until she buts on that brace.
    It certainly is very well painted, your values and colours are wonderful, and the subtle texture on this tunnel gives it a really organic feel.
