Love the mark making and beautifully drawn. Only thing I can think of to improve the story is to have the girls interact in some way either by eye contact or a little shadowing just to tie them together. Otherwise its technically amazing, great use of colour too :)
All I can say is this is by far one of your best pieces and you can tell that there's a great deal of suspense between these subjects, but one thing that really sticks out for me is the title and there have been many who've been in that situation. As always beautiful work.
