Is this off of a model or straight out of your head?
This is out of my head. When it comes to my own characters I almost never work off a model, with very very few exceptions. I think I enjoy the challenge of creating an honest little moment that people can relate to. The believability of a simple gesture will usually make a character more "real" than putting them in an action pose, so my interest has always been in natural gestures and how to add life to traditionally "static" ones.

I agree. The colored one you're referring to was actually meant to be more "posed", whereas this one was meant to be a "natural moment". I'm glad you like it! Thanks ;)
