Another of the style guides I painted for Sony Picture's Surf's Up. I was hired to basically paint these 2D images to look like as if they were rendered in 3D. The idea is that 2D is actually cheaper to create than complex 3D renders. So by doing these style guides in 2D they'd actually save money.
