Artist's Comments

This piece began as a figure painting exercise but turned into something much more along the way. It represents pulling through hard times and emerging as something new. Scarred but smarter. Total transformation. The tattoo is my own design and was intended to help tell her story.

Entirely painted in CS2. Graphic elements created in illustrator.
