Artist's Comments

This was my submission to the Accelerate competition. The criteria was to design a futuristic vehicle in the style of Syd Mead. This was really fun to work on. It was really inspiring to see the amazing number of designs submitted. Done in photoshop. And here's a brief description:

With 6 All-terrain rear wheels, 2 mobile front crawlers, and an advanced central stabilization system, the OX Explorer is designed to tread through terrain of all angles and sizes. Built for extreme temperatures and weather conditions, the OX carries a maximum of 15 crew members and can be self sustaining for up to as long as 12 months.

    Amazing design, the different parts looking very good, especially because they are that rounded up, perfect for such a environment.

    Great photoshop rendering skills mate, it almost has an ambient occlusion feeling to it :)
