The sculpt for our latest internally produced character at Slide. A future street punk ( or Chav - look it up if you're not from the UK :) ) with the very latest in mass produced urban sports wear called 'Runners'. Handy for getting away from the police :).

There are some wires and cables missing (added in max).

We're in the process of texturing him now with super HD 13x4K sets of textures (displacement, diffuse, specular/reflection textures, metal masks and dirt masks, as well as SSS layers for his skin).

This represents a significant step up in detail and fidelity for us and has been great RnD in various artistic and technical levels. I'll post the finished character soon.

great work, I really like your mixture of cloth and hard surface.

one thing... for the chav look, I'd say leave the peak impractically straight. He looks somewhat 'sporty'... don't think I'm trying to pick fault, I just associate the straight peaked cap with the chav... Generally think this is great! :-)

That's cool, feel free to point stuff out, it's always useful in case it's something we haven't considered yet.

I know what you mean re: the cap, I was in 2 minds myself over the shape of the cap. In the end though I'm going with this http://www.myhateblog.com/2008/03/09/i-hate-chavs-and-townies/  because a flat brim creates too much of a dead line across the forehead, although it still needs to be more of a triangle shape rather than the curve I've got at the mo.

Glad you like him though... BTW it appears Slide is working on a project you may be familiar with (I don't think I can say any more than that ;) ).

yeah fair enough... that link says it all... ;-) I understand the cap situation and therefore I stand corrected, cracking design!

As for the familiar project... How intriguing. If there's any help I can give... ;-)
